FAQ

What are the minimum PC requirements for Stygian: Outer Gods?
Steam and GOG list Windows 10 64-bit, Intel i5-10600 or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, RTX 3050 or RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM), DirectX 12, and 25 GB storage. Older high-end GPUs may work with DLSS or TSR enabled, per the store text.
When did Stygian: Outer Gods release?
Steam lists Early Access on 14 April 2025 and the 1.0 release on 26 October 2026. GOG shows the same 1.0 date.
Is Stygian: Outer Gods on console?
Fulqrum’s game page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S alongside PC, but the 19 October 2026 press release and the 26 October 2026 Steam 1.0 announcement cover PC launches on Steam and GOG only and give no console dates. Treat console versions as unannounced until a dated announcement appears.
Why does Stygian: Outer Gods need a strong GPU?
The 1.0 Steam news post states the game uses Nanite and Lumen and will not run smoothly if your machine is below minimum requirements.
Where do Radeon users report performance problems?
The post-launch developer update directs Radeon players to a Steam forum topic or the official Discord server so Fulqrum can investigate.

Stygian: Outer Gods is a Windows-only PC title at 1.0. Official storefronts agree on hardware: plan for a modern 8 GB VRAM GPU, 16 GB system RAM at minimum, and 25 GB of free disk space. Because the game uses Unreal Engine 5 Nanite and Lumen, the developer warns that machines below the listed floor will struggle—check specs before you buy, especially on AMD Radeon cards where they actively collect reports.

The following matches Steam API data and the GOG product page as of 28 October 2026. Wording is paraphrased; verify on your store if a patch changes requirements.

Minimum

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM)
Alternative: High-end previous-gen cards (RTX 2060 Super, GTX 1080 Ti, RX 5700 XT) with DLSS or TSR enabled (store text)
  • DirectX: 12
  • Storage: 25 GB available space
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (10 GB+ VRAM)
  • DirectX: 12
  • Storage: 25 GB available space
  • Notes: NVMe SSD recommended

What the specs mean in practice

  • VRAM floor: 8 GB at minimum is what Steam and GOG list; the 1.0 announcement ties sub-minimum hardware to poor smoothness because of Nanite and Lumen.
  • Upscale path: If you own an older “high-end” Pascal/Polaris-era card, the store explicitly ties playability to DLSS or TSR—not native max settings.
  • RAM headroom: 32 GB is the listed recommended RAM; 16 GB is the published minimum.

Release date timeline

Milestone Date Source
Steam Early Access 14 April 2025 Steam store (Early Access Release Date)
Version 1.0 (PC) 26 October 2026 Steam store release date; GOG product date
Future updates Ongoing 1.0 news: “more updates in the future”

Early Access lasted roughly 18 months. Content added during EA—locations such as the House of Mists, Blood Forest, and expanded Brasko’s Mansion—is summarized in our 1.0 update overview.

Platforms: Steam, GOG, and consoles

PC storefronts (verified at 1.0)

The official release announcement (Fulqrum Publishing press release, 19 October 2026) says the full game launches on Steam and GOG on 26 October 2026.

  • Steam — App ID 2581410; features include Steam Cloud and achievements (store categories).
  • GOG — DRM-free offline installer; the product page lists Windows only, and the minimum and recommended specs are identical to Steam’s.

Because the specs match, choose between them by library, cloud-save and refund policy rather than hardware.

Epic Games Store: availability is unconfirmed. Fulqrum’s 22 August 2025 Early Access press release listed Epic alongside Steam and GOG, but the 19 October 2026 launch release names only Steam and GOG. A listing page exists; the cached copy we could read on 28 October 2026 still said “Coming Soon” and showed a different, lower spec table (GTX 1650 6 GB / RX 5500 XT 6 GB). Do not use that table for buying decisions, and check the page for current status.

Consoles

Fulqrum Publishing’s game page lists PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S as platforms (the page still carries the 2025 Early Access date). Neither the 19 October 2026 Games Press release nor the 26 October 2026 Steam 1.0 announcement gives console launch dates or specs. This wiki makes no console availability claims beyond that platform line until an official dated announcement exists.

Nanite, Lumen, and performance expectations

The “Stygian: Outer Gods is out!” Steam announcement (26 October 2026) states:

  • The team expects improved performance and stability in 1.0 versus late EA.
  • Because the project uses Nanite and Lumen, minimum requirements still apply, and the game “will not be able to perform with complete smoothness if your machine does not meet them” (1.0 Steam announcement wording).

That is an official reason why mid-tier laptops or old 4 GB VRAM cards are poor bets—even if the game launches.

Radeon and troubleshooting feedback

The Post-Launch State of the Game Update (27 October 2026) adds:

  • Verify your PC meets minimum requirements before blaming bugs.
  • If you have poor performance on a Radeon GPU, contact Fulqrum via the linked Steam forum topic or Discord so they can improve the out-of-the-box experience.

Player reports of stutter—especially in outdoor Kingsport areas during EA—show up in Steam and GOG reviews. Whether 1.0 fixes your specific case is hardware-dependent; the developer message above is the supported feedback channel.
